How Quizzard Scoring Works
Short answer: a correct answer earns the question's base points plus a speed bonus. Answering correctly sooner produces a higher score, while wrong answers earn zero. The leaderboard ranks the accumulated score after each question.
Correctness comes first
The speed bonus only matters when the selected answer is correct. Guessing quickly does not beat a slower correct answer, because a wrong selection earns no points for that question.
Why speed changes the ranking
A timed bonus separates players who know the same answer. As the question timer runs down, the available speed bonus reduces. That produces visible movement after each round while still keeping correctness as the requirement for scoring.
The exact points available can vary by question because hosts can set the base value and time limit while building the quiz.
What the leaderboard shows
- Total accumulated points.
- Movement up or down since the previous question.
- Average response time for each ranked player.
- The top 10 positions, plus each participant's own position on final results.
