How to Run a Live Office Quiz

Short answer: prepare 15 to 20 questions in two or three sections, share a room code, keep every player on the same timed question, reveal the rankings between rounds and finish with a short prize moment.

1. Choose a simple format

For a 30-minute session, use a warm-up round, a main themed round and a short company round. Mix easy recognition questions with a few difficult questions so the whole room scores while the leaders still separate.

2. Build and check the quiz

Use MCQ, true/false and image questions.
Keep answer options short enough to scan on a phone.
Import an existing question bank from Excel or CSV.
Run through every answer and image before the event.

3. Set up the room

Open the host screen on the presentation laptop. Share the 6-character room code and QR on the display, in the meeting chat, or through WhatsApp. Players join from any browser and choose a nickname and avatar.

4. Host the game

Start when the lobby is ready. During each question, monitor the live answered count. When everyone answers or time expires, reveal the correct answer, then show the animated rankings. Keep the leaderboard visible while the room reacts, and move on when you are ready.

5. Finish with a clear result

Reveal the final leaderboard only after the last round. Give the podium enough time for a screenshot, announce gold, silver and bronze, and use the session report if you need to share results or review question performance later.
