Why an AI quiz generator matters

The hardest part of running a great quiz isn’t the technology — it’s writing thirty good questions the night before. Teachers face this every week. Corporate trainers face it before every workshop. Community managers face it before every event. Question-writing is a slow, tedious craft that eats hours which would be better spent teaching, coaching, or hosting.

A good AI quiz generator does the boring 80%: it reads the source material, drafts factually grounded questions at the difficulty you asked for, invents plausible wrong answers (the hard part of MCQ design), and organises everything into a shape a human editor can polish in five minutes instead of five hours.

What the Quizzard AI quiz generator will do

  1. 1
    Give it a source

Type a topic like ‘Photosynthesis for Grade 7’, paste an article, upload a PDF, or drop in a link. Pick difficulty (easy / medium / hard), question count, and how many sections you want.

  2. 2
    Review the draft

The generator returns a full quiz — MCQs with distractors, true/false rounds, and grouped sections with suggested cover-image prompts. Every question includes a short rationale so you can spot-check quickly.

  3. 3
    Edit and host

Approve the quiz into Quizzard's editor. Tweak wording, swap correct answers, attach images, then start a live session with a 6-character code — the same flow as any hand-built quiz.

Design principles we’re committing to

Human-in-the-loop by default. The AI drafts; you approve. Nothing goes live until you press “Start session”. This keeps factual mistakes from reaching your players and keeps your editorial voice in the room.

Cite the source. When you upload a document, each generated question links back to the paragraph it came from. Great for teachers who want to point students to the exact reference.

Difficulty that actually varies. Easy questions test recall; medium test application; hard test synthesis across paragraphs. Speed-based scoring in Quizzard already rewards fluency — the AI complements that by mixing depth.

Bias and safety review. Generated questions run through a filter for stereotypes, ambiguous phrasing, and topics that don’t belong in a classroom quiz. You’ll still want to skim, but the floor is higher.

Sensible privacy. Uploaded documents are processed for your quiz only. We don’t train shared models on your files.

Who benefits first

K-12 teachers generating end-of-lesson checks from that day’s reading.

University instructors and TAs converting lecture PDFs into low-stakes quiz rounds for review sessions.

Corporate L&D teams turning compliance decks and product docs into gamified refreshers.

Podcast and content creators generating episode-recap quizzes to boost listener engagement.

Event organisers spinning up trivia rounds themed to a specific speaker, session, or sponsor.

FAQ

When will the AI quiz generator launch?

We're targeting a private beta in the coming months. Waitlist members get access first and help shape the feature.

What inputs will it accept?

Plain text topics, pasted articles, uploaded PDFs, and web links. You'll pick difficulty, question count, and section structure before generating.

Will the AI make MCQs and true/false questions?

Yes — both formats, with plausible distractors for MCQs and clean, unambiguous statements for true/false.

Can I edit the generated questions?

Every generated question drops straight into Quizzard's editor. Edit wording, swap the correct answer, attach an image, or delete rows before you go live.

Will it cost extra?

The free tier will include a monthly generation quota. Heavy users will have a paid option, and hosting the resulting live quiz stays free up to the standard player limit.
